Oasis Hive Limited began with a simple frustration: good businesses were being held back by software that did not fit them. Off-the-shelf tools forced them into someone else's process; bespoke builds were priced out of reach.
We started small and unglamorous: a stock system for a distributor, a patient register for a clinic. What they shared is that they solved a real problem and kept working long after we left.
That still guides us. We would rather ship something modest your team genuinely uses than a grand platform that impresses in the boardroom and confuses on the shop floor.
Today we design and build software, run cloud environments, secure them and help organisations make sense of their data. One team, accountable end to end.

Ten years, one direction
We grew by following the problems our clients brought us rather than by chasing whatever was fashionable that year.
2016
The first build
Oasis Hive is founded in Kampala by three engineers after a decade of building systems inside other people's organisations.
2018
Security practice opens
Demand from financial services clients leads to a dedicated security team covering testing, incident response and compliance readiness.
2020
Cloud and reliability
We formalise cloud engineering and DevOps as a practice, and begin running production environments for clients under support agreements.
2021
Hive Academy launches
Our first free training cohort graduates, opening a route into engineering for people without a traditional computer science background.
2023
Data and AI practice
A dedicated data team forms around analytics, warehousing and applied machine learning, driven by clients asking what their data could tell them.
2025
Regional delivery
Client work extends across East Africa and into international engagements, delivered from our Kampala base.
